PapiChulo Tacos: A Baja Beach Concept From the Team Behind Lynora's and Pawnshop

Monday 24 August 2026·By PapiChulo Tacos

PapiChulo Tacos brings a California-inspired street food concept to State Road 7 in Royal Palm Beach, part of a small local group that also includes a Jupiter location. The restaurant was born from a collaboration between Scott Frielich of Subculture Restaurant Group, Cleve Mash of Pawnshop, and Angelo Abbenante of Lynora's, who researched top taco shops from Miami to New York before developing their own approach.

House-Made Tortillas and a Baja Beach Vibe

True to its street food roots, the kitchen makes its own chips and tortillas in house rather than buying them premade, a detail the founders point to as central to the concept. The menu leans into Mexican street-style tacos, quesadillas, empanadas, and burritos, paired with fresh juices, tequila, and cocktails made with house-pressed juice rather than bottled syrups.

A Laid-Back Setting Built for Groups

The restaurant's aesthetic reflects a colorful, beachside Baja feel, and the space is set up for casual, come-as-you-are dining. Beyond regular service, PapiChulo Tacos offers catering, private events, and online ordering, making it as suited to a quick lunch as a larger group gathering with rounds of margaritas to match.

Good to Know

PapiChulo Tacos is located at 1005 N State Rd 7, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. For Mexican street food with a laid-back beach bar feel, it remains a lively stop in western Palm Beach County.
