Lewis Prime Grill opened in the space that previously housed Kocomo's Island Grill, bringing the Lewis family's steakhouse tradition to a new audience. Owner Ralph Lewis has pointed to the growth of the Loxahatchee area as motivation for opening here. The restaurant is part of the broader Okeechobee Prime family of businesses, which also includes Okeechobee Steakhouse, Okeechobee Prime Meat Market, Okeechobee Prime Barbecue, and Lewis Steakhouse in Jupiter, and it is run with the help of veteran Okeechobee Steakhouse managers and an executive chef.
