Il Bellagio: Two Decades of Italian Tradition in Rosemary Square

Sunday 23 August 2026·By Il Bellagio

Tucked into the heart of Rosemary Square (formerly CityPlace) in downtown West Palm Beach, Il Bellagio brings classic Italian cooking to a lively, plaza-side setting. The restaurant has been part of the neighborhood's dining scene for more than two decades, building its menu around family recipes and Italian tradition.

A Family Recipe, Reimagined

Il Bellagio traces its roots to 2001, when it first opened in what was then CityPlace. According to the restaurant, the concept grew out of a family grandmother's kitchen, with recipes and techniques passed down and adapted for a full-service dining room. The name nods to Bellagio, the town on Italy's Lake Como, a reference the restaurant ties to South Florida's own warm, waterside character. After 23 years at its original address, Il Bellagio relocated to a larger space just steps away, expanding its kitchen and seating while keeping its original culinary approach intact.

An Indoor-Outdoor Italian Setting

The current space is built around both indoor and outdoor dining, including a covered patio with greenery and fountains, an indoor-outdoor bar, cushioned booths, and several private rooms for events. On the menu, examples of what diners might find include handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and seafood-forward entrees, alongside a wine list and bar bites — though offerings can change with the seasons.

Good to Know

Il Bellagio is located at 700 S Rosemary Ave #124, West Palm Beach, FL 33401, inside Rosemary Square. Beyond regular lunch and dinner service, the restaurant offers private event spaces, catering, and takeout, making it a flexible option for both a casual bite and a larger group gathering.
