Biergarten: Tyrolean-Style Beers, Brats, and Live Music in Royal Palm Place

Wednesday 26 August 2026·By Biergarten

Biergarten opened in Royal Palm Place in 2011, brought to Boca Raton by restaurateur Arturo Gismondi (also behind nearby Trattoria Romana) with chef Jason Shipman shaping a menu that draws less from Munich and more from the Alps, blending German, Belgian, Swiss, and Italian influences into one 4,000-square-foot beer hall.

Giant Pretzels, House Sausages, and a Serious Beer List

The kitchen centers its menu on in-house sausages and the restaurant's namesake giant pretzel with dipping sauces, alongside the widely ordered Biergarten burger. The bar backs it up with roughly 24 beers on tap and another 24 by the bottle, spanning imports and craft selections that rotate through the year.

Communal Tables, Tyrolean Servers, and Weekend Bands

Inside, barrel-stave wainscoting, hanging vines, and long communal tables set a beer-garden mood, with servers dressed in Tyrolean-style attire reinforcing the theme the restaurant has kept since opening. Live bands take over Friday and Saturday nights, and a daily happy hour (all day Sunday) keeps the bar busy well beyond the dinner rush — part sports bar, part beer garden, as regulars describe it.

Good to Know

Biergarten is located at 309 Via De Palmas #90, Boca Raton, FL 33432. For pretzels, sausages, and a serious tap list in a Royal Palm Place beer hall, it's worth pulling up a communal table.
